International Basketball Manager is an online game where you serve as manager of a virtual basketball team. To play you need a computer or mobile with internet access.

In the game, you will experience firsthand the highs and lows of running your own basketball team.
You have complete control of your team including signing players, selecting line-ups, hiring staff members, scouting young players and training them into the stars of the future, setting up friendly matches, negotiating with other managers via live chat, and much more!

Furthermore, IBM offers an exclusive feature, the ability to sign real players from the best basketball leagues around the world, use official team jerseys, and customize the interface with your favorite NBA, Euroleague, Eurocup, ACB, other European teams.

You will randomly assigned to a league where you will be competing with 19 other managers who joined around the same time and will be trying just as hard to win promotion. The competition can get fierce! You can also register for a private league and schedule friendly exhibition matches against your friends to make some extra money from tickets and prize money.

One of the biggest challenges you will face as manager will be maintaining your team’s finances. You will need to spend money on new players and facility improvements, but if you are in the red (negative money) for two weeks, your team will go into liquidation and you will lose ownership of your team. Your finances are affected by several factors including player and staff salaries, selling and purchasing players in the market, ticket revenues, advertising, and team sponsors- all of which are under your control.
However, there are a lot of helpful tools at your disposal. You can set up the training sessions to improve your players. You will also have access to a wide range of statistics regarding your league and other competitions to analyze your opponents and devise the best strategy to win. Also, you can always find some useful advices and extra information about the game here, in the forums, or by chatting with other players.

If you work hard and prove to be a talented manager, your team might receive offers from other bigger divisions with even bigger competition and rewards.

Warning: if you are in the red (negative cash balance) for two consecutive weeks, your team will go into liquidation and you will lose ownership (and control) of your club. This is unlikely as long as you carefully monitor your finances. If you have lost your team and want to get back in the game, you will be able to take over another team without a manager.
